Welcome to our School
Our state of the art facility is located in the Village of Newcastle. The school was founded in 1980 and moved to our current location in 2002. Our school houses classrooms from Junior Kindergarten to Grade Eight. We are located close to our parish, St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church which is located on Highway 2 in Newcastle. We participate in school liturgies at the school or church and we encourage parents and community members to celebrate with us.
St Francis Of Assisi Catholic Elementary School boasts its quality and diversity. Among our many features we operate a C.A.S.A. (Centre for Autism Spectrum Assistance) specializing in grades 1 to 6. We are also very proud of our Snoezelen Room. Students enjoy this multi-sensory room which meets a variety of needs. St. Francis of Assisi is also home to the P.R.Y.D.E. Learning Centre. It operates before and after school hours and during the school day. It is a licensed Child Care Provider. P.R.Y.D.E. can be reached at (905) 725-5504.
