10th Annual Cobourg High School Terry Fox Run

St. Mary's Secondary School, together with CDCI East and West High Schools, celebrated the 10th annual Terry Fox Run in Victoria Park on Friday, September 21st, 2007.

This worth while event takes place on the 3rd Friday in September each year.

It is a wonderful opportunity for all three Cobourg high schools to join together in a cooperative venture to raise awareness and funds for an excellent cause.

It is also a magnificent showcase of the dedication of our youth to become actively involved in helping find a solution to a horrible affliction that has affected so many families throughout Canada and the world.

Students raise a minmum of $10.00 to participate and bring their enthusiasm and creativity to the park. The community is treated to a sea of colourful young people as they complete the 5 km walk/run along a planned route in Cobourg.

School spirits are raised, friendships and great memories are created for all of the participants.

It is a wonderful way to begin the school year!
