To cite an essay, short story, poem etc. :
1) The author's last name, followed by a comma.
2) The author's first name, followed by a period.
3) The title of the item, followed by a period, in quotation marks.
4) The title of the book, underlined, followed by a period.
5) Ed. followed by the editor's first and last name, followed by a period.
6) The city of publication, followed by a colon.
7) The publisher, followed by a comma.
8) The year, followed by a period.
9) The page numbers, followed by a period.
